I am a stay a home mom of one wild toddler and two ridiculous German Shepherds. I am a crochet artist, and in early 2026, I began looking for hand dyed yarns that were affordable, that I felt comfortable working with, and that were available in colorways I found beautiful. Unfortunately, I have never been able to work well with wool, as I could never get it to look the way I wanted it too, and it never felt nice on my hands or skin. So the journey began to find a workable solution to this problem. I joined a crochet group on the Book of Faces, and found there are a number of people with this same issue, that prefer to use cotton instead. So I went looking for hand dyed cotton, and let me tell you, I was shocked by how much more expensive it seemed to be by quantity. As a crocheter, I also understand this craft uses over double what knitting consumes. And so began this path of dyeing my own. I found a worsted weight base that is so incredibly soft and durable, and takes and holds dye so well, and started dyeing in small batches of small skeins, inspired by nature, imagination, book covers... anything that I found visually striking. And I shared my results with a small number of friends I made in that crochet group. They loved what I was doing, and the colors I was able to achieve, and my willingness to dye custom colorways for them. From there, it only made sense to see what more I could do with this venture, because I love the process of dyeing yarn. I love twisting the hanks and working the swatches to see what exactly came out of each colorway. And so Yarn, Ink'd was created... A one-woman team of production, sales, and marketing.
I hope you'll enjoy the yarns I create, as much as I enjoy making them. Its a beautiful process that I love sharing with the world. You can find my dye videos on my socials and my YouTube. I'm looking forward to sending you a beautiful package soon!
